The mission of YogaToGoNJ is to help you to be your best self. Whether you need emotional calming, physical healing, or deeper spiritual connection, yoga can help.

Bridget Briant is a 500-hour RYT who is certified in Yoga for Healing. She has studied many forms of yoga including Hatha. Ashtanga, Kundalini, and various forms of meditation since 1993, She attained her first certification (200-hour) in 2002. Her classes are generally a mix of Hatha yoga and Ashtanga-Inspired with a little Kundalini, always with a nice long savasana. She started teaching children in 2002 and adults at Rutgers University in 2003. Over the years. she has taught in many places in Central Jersey, too many to list here. In 2016. she was a research assistant in a clinical study with the Atlantic Neuroscience Department at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ to evaluate the effects of yoga in people who have Parkinson’s disease. In 2017, she attained the 500-hour RYT designation.

Now, Bridget runs YogaToGoNJ, bringing yoga to you! Group yoga classes are held in various facilities, mostly in Union County. Her favorite place to teach is outdoors in Hanson Park in Cranford. She is a member of the Hanson Park Conservancy, and donations for her classes there help to maintain the beauty of the park.

Bridget continues to study the work of the great teachers including K. Pattabbhi Jois, Swami Sivananda Radha, BKS Iyengar and others. She has a beautiful singing voice and teaches chant. She ends her classes with Sanskrit chant. As a naturally talented artist and crafter, Bridget presents interesting and rewarding workshops which include mandala design and creating 108-bead mala bead garlands for Japa meditation.

In 2023, Avalon Sound Journey was born. Bridget is partners with Cheryl Smith in offering vibrational meditations with singing bowls, gongs and other light percussion instruments.
