Bridget Briant is an RYT (registered yoga teacher) with Yoga Alliance, having completed the 500-hour training program in Yoga for Healing at Freehold Yoga Center in 2017. Her 200-hour certification was completed in 2002 at Nicole’s Yoga Center in Garwood, NJ. She started teaching children in 2002 and adults at Rutgers University in 2003. She has studied many forms of yoga, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Kriya, Raja and Kundalini. Her style has evolved into a very practical format – Yoga for Everyone – as her classes are tailored to meet the needs of her clients. She has taught in many fitness centers and studios in Central Jersey. She continues to study the work of the great teachers including K. Patabbhi Jois, Swami Sivananda Radha, and BKS Iyengar, and others. In 2016, she was a research assistant in a clinical study with the Atlantic Neuroscience Department at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ to evaluate the effects of yoga on people who have Parkinson’s disease Bridget has a beautiful singing voice and ends her classes with Sanskrit chant.
